The Halo Infinite community has received some big news regarding Big Team Battle with a statement from Ske7ch. The Big Team Battle patch has passed the Xbox certification process and is ready to roll out next week. This patch will fix the game mode’s matchmaking issues that have been preventing players from successfully joining the game. As the weekly reset happens on Tuesday, we can expect the patch to roll out on that day or a day or two after that as their office will be closed on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. day. As a token of appreciation the team is giving 5 XP Boosts and 5 Challenge Swaps to every player after the hotfix. Players have more to look forward to as a statement from Ske7ch discusses their intent to work on key topics that include armor customization, networking, and more.

“We continue to work towards the mid-February patch and will share details as we get closer. Additionally, work continues on plans/updates to other key topics we know are top of mind for the community (economy, armor customization, ranked, cheating, networking, etc.).”

Some of the main points to look forward to in his comment are the mentions of the economy, armor customization, ranked, cheating and so forth. This could mean changes are coming in terms of the way they monetize the multiplayer game mode. Prices could finally drop into more reasonable figures, and armor could finally become cross core enabled so players can create interesting combinations that Halo bots are able to achieve. Unfortunately we’ll have to wait before we get more details on what they intend to do with the current ranking system. It is however reassuring that they’re looking into the current issue with cheating in matchmade games. You can read the full update on Halo Waypoint here.
